DK Blackfish (they/them) is a prominent non-binary Shibari rope artist, performer and instructor based in Los Angeles. For over a decade, DK Blackfish has synthesised global influences and direct teachings from Japanese, European and U.S. artists into an individualistic style.

Their work blends visceral, energetic power-play dynamics with the intricate beauty of traditional Japanese rope bondage aesthetics. Their credits include choreographing the opera Unbound, music videos and photography, performing in art galleries, and holding a teaching residency at Devil Mask Studio in Los Angeles.
